Yuba County has been selected as the location for the U.S. Air Force’s new Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program. The employment of this drone program is expected to enhance air combat capabilities. This decision is anticipated to boost national defense innovation and bring high-tech jobs and economic benefits to the North State, specifically Beale Air Force Base.
Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher, representing East Nicolaus, has played a role in securing bipartisan support in the Legislature for the CCA mission at Beale. Gallagher expressed that the selection of Beale for “the new Collaborative Combat Aircraft program” will bring “next-generation autonomous aircraft and investment” to the region. He emphasized that this development will maintain Beale’s position in national defense and provide “high-paying jobs and advanced technology to Yuba County.”
Credit was also given to Congressman Doug LaMalfa for his efforts in Washington to ensure Beale remained a top choice for this program. Gallagher noted LaMalfa’s advocacy as instrumental in achieving this outcome.
Looking ahead, Gallagher affirmed, “Beale’s future is strong,” and pledged to continue efforts to maintain the region’s leadership in innovation, security, and opportunity.
Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher serves California’s 3rd Assembly District, which covers a broad area including Butte, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, Yuba, and segments of Placer County.
