Assembly Republicans in Sacramento have initiated “Cost of Living Week” to highlight what they see as ineffective policies contributing to rising costs in California. They are urging immediate measures to provide relief for working families.
The initiative criticizes legislative Democrats for failing to address the state’s affordability issues. According to Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher, “Democrats admit that the cost of living is the top threat to our future. So why do they keep pushing policies that raise prices, expand bureaucracy, and hammer working families with higher taxes?”
Gallagher emphasized that Republicans are ready for action and called on Democrats to collaborate on solutions instead of obstructing them. Earlier this year, Assembly Republicans proposed a legislative package aimed at reducing costs, but many bills were blocked by Democrat leadership without hearings.
Gallagher stated, “Assembly Republicans are standing up for working Californians with real solutions, not more excuses.”
