California State Rep. James Gallagher, who serves as Assembly Republican Leader and represents several Northern California counties, addressed issues of policy performance, criminal justice reform, and the Easter holiday in a series of posts on social media in early April 2026.
On April 5, Gallagher posted about anticipated shortcomings in government promises: “Important context. Promises, promises. Major underperformance to be expected.”
Later that day, he shared a message related to Easter: “He is Risen Indeed! The message of Easter is hope. Christ died, rose, and He’s coming back. ‘Christ in us, the hope of glory’ Colossians 1:27.”
On April 8, Gallagher commented on legislative developments regarding early release policies for incarcerated individuals: “I’m certainly glad this bill advanced but all of this was KNOWN when many Democrat politicians voted for early release TWICE. Victims groups said at the time: this will allow murders, rapists, and pedophiles to be released. And that is exactly what happened.”
Gallagher represents constituents from Butte, Glenn, Placer, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba counties as part of the California Assembly (https://ad03.asmrc.org/). In his capacity as Assembly Republican Leader (https://ad03.asmrc.org/), he has provided constituent services such as assistance with state agencies and access to community resources (https://ad03.asmrc.org/). His office also offers information about public transportation options and maintains a district map for residents within the communities served (https://ad03.asmrc.org/).
