James Gallagher, a public official and commentator, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing government spending and policy decisions in California. The tweets focus on homelessness programs in Los Angeles and government orders during wildfire events.
On July 15, 2025, Gallagher criticized the outcomes of a recent program aimed at reducing homelessness in Los Angeles. He stated, “This is their version of success folks. The ‘latest’ program has cost $450 million, on top of billions already spent, and they have slightly reduced homelessness in LA. Nothing they do actually works.”
Shortly after, Gallagher posted another message with limited context but appearing to continue his critical tone: “And then there’s this…” (July 15, 2025).
Later the same day, Gallagher commented on past government orders related to public health measures during wildfires. He wrote, “Not only did he get that wrong, his ‘orders’ later required my constituents to eat outside in the smoke and ash after a wildfire instead of spaced out inside an air filtered, air conditioned restaurant. We didn’t comply. He totally tried to re-write history here. He was a” (July 15, 2025).
