Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher has expressed his views on recent changes to Assembly committee assignments made by Democrats. In a statement, Gallagher criticized the timing and nature of these changes.

“Before they’ve taken action on a single bill to lower the cost of living, Assembly Democrats retaliated against Republican lawmakers for highlighting their failures on the cost of living, insurance, wildfire and energy,” he stated.

Gallagher emphasized that Republicans remain undeterred by what he described as “petty politics.” He further asserted, “Let me be clear. We will not be intimidated by petty politics. Republicans are focused and ready to fix the problems caused by decades of failed Democrat leadership.”

The comments come amidst ongoing discussions about legislative priorities in Sacramento.
