EMMA WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Parent Communication Guide | COVID-19 Notification & Communication

Communicationguide

Emma Wilson Elementary School issued the following announcement.

Chico Unified School District remains committed to ensuring continued communication throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As we return to in-person instruction, individual students, families or classrooms may be requested to quarantine at home as a precaution to minimize the potential spread of COVID-19. Families who have students attending in-person instruction should be aware of the following information.

Chico Unified follows the safety notification and protocols recommended by Butte County Public Health (BCPH).

Students will be sent to the Health Office if they exhibit COVID-19 symptoms. Please keep sick children home.

The Health Office staff may communicate with families who have a symptomatic student at school.

Parents/Guardians should consider a plan in the event your child is required to go home due to symptoms.

Teachers will be maintaining a consistent seating chart to assist with contact tracing should it be necessary.

CUSD will follow the BCPH recommendations for quarantine instructions or classroom/campus closures.

Families will be notified by the school only if there is a CONFIRMED COVID-19 in your child's classroom.

CUSD will only report positive COVID-19 cases that have been confirmed with BCPH.

Students in "close contact" (within six-feet of a confirmed COVID-19 person for 15 minutes) will be contacted and may be required to quarantine.

Dashboard information regarding confirmed COVID-19 cases for the State, County and CUSD can be found on our website.
