City of Chico issued the following announcement.
Case# 20-006816
Fire and medical personnel were dispatched to an unresponsive person found in an alcove of the church at 1601 Hemlock St. around 12 PM. The person was pronounced
deceased, and Chico Police Officers arrived to investigate. At this time there are no signs of foul play surrounding this death. This person appeared to be homeless. This press
release is in response to a request from local media to be notified of deaths in the public right of way.
Location: 1601 Hemlock St.
Victim: Withheld pending notification to next of kin
