Of the 5,395 people living in Palermo CDP in 2019, 45.9 percent (2,476) were women and 54.1 percent (2,919) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Chico Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,532-to-1,282. In the 65 and over age range, there were 575 females and 552 males.
