Census Bureau: More women than men in Butte County in 2019

Of the 225,817 people living in Butte County in 2019, 50.5 percent (114,082) were women and 49.5 percent (111,735) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Chico Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 70,047-to-69,646. In the 65 and over age range, there were 22,398 females and 18,287 males.
