Of the 5,204 people living in Palermo CDP in 2020, 47.7 percent (2,480) were women and 52.3 percent (2,724) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Chico Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 293. In the 65 and over age range, there were 668 females and 501 males.
