(Red Bluff, CA) – On April 17, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R – Richvale) held a Farm Bill listening session in Red Bluff to hear directly from the agriculture industry. Participants from throughout California highlighted the hurdles burdening their industry and possible policy solutions to be added to this year’s Farm Bill. Representatives from various sectors of the industry, including growers, processors, transporters, retailers, foresters, and equipment manufacturers, were present.
“The Farm Bill is an essential legislative package for the entire agriculture industry and for our nation’s food supply. It will impact every single person in our nation, dictating food prices and availability on store shelves. Thank you to everyone who showed up and participated, I’m looking forward to using your feedback and ideas back with me in Washington and sharing them with my colleagues on the Agriculture Committee,” said Congressman LaMalfa.
Congressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California’s First Congressional District, including Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama and Yuba Counties.
