The Butte County Library is offering an innovative service called the Library of Things, allowing patrons to check out a variety of household items. With a library card, residents can borrow items such as camping stoves, telescopes, baking pans, and paper shredders.

Located at the Oroville Branch, the Library of Things provides access to useful resources for various projects, activities, and entertainment. Any patron aged 18 or over with an account in good standing can take advantage of this service free of charge.

"Did you know you can check out a camping stove? A telescope? Baking pans? A paper shredder?" reads an announcement from the library. "With a Butte County Library card, you can check these out and more through Butte County Library's Library of Things!"

The collection aims to support the community by offering tools and equipment that might otherwise be difficult or expensive for individuals to obtain.
