Assembly Republicans are set to hold a press conference on February 26 at 8:30 a.m. to introduce a legislative package addressing California's affordability crisis. The event will take place at the California State Capitol, Room 126, and will be livestreamed for public viewing.

The Republican caucus argues that years of Democratic leadership have contributed to rising costs in food, gas, housing, insurance, and utilities, alongside high taxes. They claim these factors have driven many families and businesses out of the state.

Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher from East Nicolaus is among those leading the initiative. He will be joined by Assemblywoman Leticia Castillo from Corona, Assemblywoman Laurie Davies from Laguna Niguel, Assemblywoman Diane Dixon from Newport Beach, Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez from Indio, Assemblyman Tom Lackey from Palmdale, Assemblywoman Kate Sanchez from Rancho Santa Margarita, Assemblyman Tri Ta from Westminster, and Assemblymember Greg Wallis from Bermuda Dunes.

The press conference aims to outline the proposed bills designed to alleviate financial burdens on Californians.
