Assemblyman James Gallagher expressed mourning following the death of a Marysville Police Department officer who was killed in the line of duty. Gallagher, representing the 3rd Assembly District of California, shared his condolences through a statement:
“Janna and I were devastated to learn about the murder of a Marysville police officer this morning. This is a tight-knit community and this loss will be felt by everyone who calls Marysville home. Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day, and today’s tragedy underscores the sacrifices they make in service of others. Our prayers are with this fallen officer, his family, friends and fellow officers in this incredibly difficult time.”
The assembly district represented by Gallagher covers areas including Butte, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, Yuba, and parts of Placer County. Gallagher acknowledges the risk that law enforcement officers face daily and offers support and prayers to the community affected by the tragedy.
