Assembly Republicans have unveiled a unique solution for Californians eagerly awaiting Governor Newsom’s State of the State address. Following the pause of the address in March, which elicited mixed reactions across the state, Assembly Republicans have introduced a creative alternative – Newsom Catchphrase Refrigerator Magnets.

The magnets are designed to capture the essence of a Newsom speech, which is described as a mix of “misleading factoids, gaslighting about his record, and a word-salad of tech jargon.” By utilizing these magnets, individuals can piece together their own version of a gubernatorial address right on their fridge. The kit aims to provide Californians with a DIY experience that brings a touch of Newsom into their homes.

In a playful tone, the creators suggest that sending a set of these magnets to the governor might even help streamline his speechwriting process and refocus his attention on governing California. However, there is a hint of skepticism as they quip, “But who are we kidding? He’ll just keep ignoring our state while he picks fights with Republican governors on the other side of the country.”
