Republicans announce press conference on lowering California gas prices

SACRAMENTO – Tomorrow, ahead of the first committee hearing of the special session on Governor Gavin Newsom’s refinery mandate, Assembly Republicans will hold a press conference to discuss their proposals aimed at lowering gas prices and providing Californians with immediate relief at the pump.

Newsom called the special session after not securing approval for a last-minute proposal to add storage regulations on refineries. Critics, including members of his own administration, have warned that this could lead to fuel shortages and increased gas prices. Assembly Republicans argue that it is time for real solutions.
